Erik R. Olson, LPO

Erik began his study of Orthotics and Prosthetics in Minnesota at Century College while still in high school. He continued his studies at Century College while working as a Registered Nursing Assistant. After finishing his clinical studies at Fairview Hospital and Trautman Prosthetics in Minneapolis, Erik went on to earn his license as a Prosthetist Orthotist in the State of Texas.

Erik moved to Temple, Texas in 1992 to work for Scott & White Hospital. He moved to Austin in 1993 to work for Austin Prosthetics for Dennis Cole, CP. That facility was well known for using the most high-tech components and techniques of that time. In 1997 he began working for Jim Hughes, CPO at Austin Orthotics and Prosthetics alongside Gene Sinclair. This was a family owned organization that focused on patient care.

Having worked in large corporate owned facilities and family owned operations, Erik developed the concept of bringing together the best practices of both types of organizations. Erik founded Round Rock Orthotics and Prosthetics in late 2000 with the vision of providing the best biomechanical techniques in a patient friendly environment. This allows the practitioners to spend more time with the patients and truly understand their challenges. In 2003 the practice moved to its current 10,000 square foot facility on Round Rock West Drive and now serves over 7000 patients from one of the finest Orthotic and Prosthetic facilities in the state.

Erik is married with two sons and his passion for fishing has led him to be involved in many local bass clubs. He spends the majority of his free time in bass fishing tournaments.


Ron D. Dominy, LP

Ron began his work in the field of Prosthetics at the age of seventeen working at the Chas A. Blatchford’s and Sons firm—leaders in the design and manufacture of advanced high precision components for artificial lower limbs, and the provision of outstanding prosthetic and orthotic care at centers attached to hospitals throughout the UK. Ron continued at the Blatchford’s facility in Basingstoke, England until 1988 when he took a position with the Arthur Finnieston Clinic a company at the forefront in developing both orthotic and prosthetic products located in Miami, Florida. Ron worked as a Prosthetic Technician and assisted with teaching the Endolite System to Prosthetists throughout the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.

Following the destruction of his home by hurricane Andrew, he moved to Austin in 1991 to manage a local prosthetics lab for Dennis Cole, CP. Ron took his Board for Orthotist/Prosthetist Certification (BOC) exam in 1996 and he is also certified by The American Board for Certification (ABC) in Orthotics and Prosthetics, Inc.

Ron has been studying martial arts since arriving in the U.S. His wife, Paula Dominy, R.N. and his two children are all Black Belts in the Korean karate style of Tang Soo Do. He is a certified instructor and is preparing to test for his fourth level or dan . Ron has two grandchildren and is expecting a third.


Mike Raney, CO

Mike grew up in Long Beach, California. After graduating from High School he attended community college and began his studies in engineering. Soon after, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and began working on submarine systems and electronics. He served three and half years and went back to college earning his Bachelors and Masters Degree in Psychology from Humboldt State University and a PhD in Applied Statistics and Research Methods from the University of Northern Colorado. Mike worked on several projects and grants in social and education research, as well as working with the U.S. Forest Service. He also worked for four years in investment research. After twelve years of research and analysis, he decided he needed a change of pace and went back to school and earned his certification in orthotics from Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center in California. He worked for two years in San Francisco then moved to Texas and began working for Conner Brace in 1992. While at Conner Brace, Mike served as a member and Chairman of the Research and Development committee of the American Academy of Orthotics and Prosthetics (AAOP) performing and promoting research among orthotics and prosthetics professionals. He earned his certification from the American Board of Certification in Orthotics in 1993 and earned was licensed with the state of Texas in 1999. Mike joined Round Rock Orthotics and Prosthetics in February of 2005 and has brought his expertise and diverse background to work in many specialized patient situations.

Among his more adventurous endeavors, Mike spent six summers as a commercial salmon fisherman off the coast in the northern Pacific in a boat he built from scratch. He also enjoys amateur photography. Mike has a son attending the University of Texas and another serving in the U.S. Navy in the Nuclear Power program.


George Blake
Practice Manager

George served as Vice President of Product Development for an Internet banking software development firm before taking the position of Practice Manager for Round Rock Orthotics and Prosthetics.

Other experience includes: sales for a custom software solution provider based at the InfoMart in Dallas, Texas, founding a startup company providing pay-per-view voice response units (VRU) to cable television operators to serve the hospitality marketplace, management of an entrepreneurial telecommunications company and Senior Vice President, Bank of the Hills--where he managed all information and communications resources for a locally owned retail bank. George is married with one child and enjoys sailing on Lake Travis.


Lyndsey Light
Insurance Coordinator

Lyndsey graduated from Round Rock High School in 2005 and is now attending Austin Community College. She plans on transferring to the University of Texas to study nursing and hopes to become an emergency room nurse. Lyndsey began working at Round Rock Orthotics & Prosthetics in January of 2005 in medical records and is now working as the Front Desk Receptionist.

While not working, Lyndsey enjoys watching football, hanging out with friends and going to the lake.


Angela Bravo
Claims & Billing Coordinator

Angela and her family recently moved to Round Rock from Waco, Texas where she worked for a local Orthotics and Prosthetics company for three years. Angela began working for Round Rock Orthotics and Prosthetics in October of 2005 as the Claims and Billing Coordinator bringing her knowledge and expertise in medical claims and billing to our office.

Angela and her husband Richard have two children, Forrest and Hope. Outside of work, she spends most of her free time supporting her children’s sports activities. While at home, Angela enjoys watching the Lifetime Movie channel and CNN.
